Robin, Joker, and Bruce Wayne

Robin, Joker, and Bruce Wayne by bondageincomics
Robin, Joker, and Bruce Wayne 2 by bondageincomics

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

Due to his youth, inexperience, and smaller size, the Boy Wonder is clearly the weak link in the Dynamic Duo, which their opponents often seek to exploit.  Robin is also cocky, enthusiastic, and overly eager to prove his independent crime-fighting abilities, especially to Batman.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

The two-picture series "Robin, Joker, and Bruce Wayne by bondageincomics" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.

In this series, the cute, cocky, colorful, crime-fighting sidekick rushes in to rescue millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne.

These pictures are fan art and intended to promote the appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  These are original scenes and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Dorno and the Cowboy

Dorno and the Cowboy 2 by roemesquita

Dorno and the Cowboy 3 by roemesquita

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Due to his youth and his lack of special powers, he is certainly one of the most vulnerable members of the Herculoids and is frequently a weak link which their opponents seek to target.

The three-picture series "Dorno and the Cowboy by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.  Two are available here.

During a visit to a ranch, Dorno attempts to be helpful to a fellow entertainer by volunteering to serve as the cowboy's assistant.  Frankly, he enjoys the added attention.  The cowboy impresses the crowd by throwing a lasso around and quickly calf roping the youthful, semi-heroic sidekick from the Herculoids, who patiently endures a few jokes at his expense.  However, the cowboy has now convinced the crowd that a branding would be a good souvenir of the visit and that he would demonstrate the technique on shirtless pretty boy Dorno.  The crowd at the ranch agrees.

The latter picture depicts the cowboy tickling Dorno.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the series or in any other derivative media.

Lok in Land of the Lost

Lok in Land of the Lost by Bowen12a

Lok in Land of the Lost 3 by Bowen12a

Lok in Land of the Lost 4 by Bowen12a

Lok is the son of Gorok and Gara, a caveman and his wife who befriend the Butlers, a modern family who stranded in prehistoric times.  Their adventures are depicted in Valley of the Dinosaurs, an American animated television series, which debuted in 1974 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Lok is a teen-aged cave-boy, with long, blond hair, a strong, chiseled face, and a youthful, athletic build, covered only by a leather loincloth.

Will is the son of Rick Marshall, and, with his sister Holly, is lost in an alternate universe inhabited by dinosaurs, a primitive hominid tribe called the Pakuni, and aggressive lizard creatures called Sleestak.  Their adventures are portrayed in Land of the Lost, an American, Saturday morning television series, which debuted in 1974 and was produced by Sid & Marty Krofft Television Productions.

The four-picture series "Lok in Land of the Lost" was one that I commissioned from Bowen12a through DeviantART in 2017 and 2018.

I would have loved a crossover between the two 1974 Saturday morning series Valley of the Dinosaurs and  Land of the Lost, and a meeting between Lok and Will Marshall.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in Lok and Valley of the Dinosaurs.  Will Marshall was introduced as a romantic interest.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the series.

Rivalry in the Monkees

Rivalry in the Monkees by bondageincomics

Davy Jones and Peter Tork are members of the musical band the Monkees.  Formed in 1966, they were the subject of a television series, created by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, about their adventures as a struggling, unknown rock band.

Davy had brown, mop-top hair, an adorable, boyish face, and a firm, young physique.  Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  The series lasted two seasons.

Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  An offbeat, blond hippie, Peter was the simple one who frequently got into trouble.  The series lasted two seasons.  I imagined that Davy and Peter would have been romantic rivals. .

The picture "Rivalry in the Monkees by bondageincomics" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.

This picture explores a whimsical rivalry between Davy Jones and Peter Tork.

Davy appeared to have more screen time and story lines and attracted the larger fan following.  However, his size makes him an unlikely alpha male.

Peter envied Davy's screen time, romantic story lines, and fan following.  However, the taller, more wiry Peter would likely prevail against the shorter, more compact Davy in a physical contest.

One day, Davy goes too far in asserting his star status, and Peter reacts by shoving the cute, short English boy, who happens to be shirtless and wearing only his red swimming trunks.  A shoving match ensues, and Peter soon takes Davy down.  Jones' continued, stubborn resistance leads Tork to tie up his bandmate.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Davy Jones in the 1966 television series "The Monkees".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

The Terminator is a cybernetic organism consisting of living tissue over a robotic endoskeleton.  Developed as an assassin but able to be reprogrammed as a bodyguard, the Terminator appeared as a villain in the 1984 film and as a hero in the 1991 film Judgment Day and the 2003 film Rise of the Machines.

Iron Man is the alias of millionaire playboy Tony Stark.  After premiering in Tales of Suspense, he starred in his own Marvel comic book series since 1963, appeared in various television series, and starred in various blockbuster films, starting in 2008.  He was a founding member of the Avengers.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

In this picture series, Korak finds a damsel in distress who needs his help.  Unfortunately, although Korak is a peak-human teen-aged boy, he is no match for a cybernetic organism with a robotic endoskeleton.  The handsome, athletic son of Tarzan will need someone to rescue him.

The twelve-picture series "Korak, Terminator, and Iron Man by jen-and-kris" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  I introduced  the Terminator as a potential antagonist and Iron Man as a potential ally.  This is an original scene and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Lok is a teen-aged cave-boy, with long, blond hair, a strong, chiseled face, and a youthful, athletic build, covered only by a leather loincloth.

Eep is the daughter of Grug Crood, a caveman, and his wife Ugga.  Their adventures are protrayed in the successful movie The Croods in 2013.

Eep is a rebellious teen-aged cave girl.  She was the female romantic lead in The Croods.  Like the rest of her family, she is very strong and was frequently able to overpower the male romantic lead Guy.
The picture "Lok and Eep" was one that I commissioned from Bowen12a through DeviantART in 2017.

I was wondering who would win in a fight between the handsome, athletic Lok and the stockier, more muscular Eep.  Winner gets to pull loser around by the hair.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in Lok and Valley of the Dinosaurs.  Eep was introduced as a romantic interest.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the series.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the son of Viking chief Stoick the Vast and his long-lost wife Valka.  Hiccup was the star of three successful How to Train Your Dragon movies in 2010, 2014, and 2019.

After the cancellation of the Herculoids, Dorno is continuing to seek work as an actor despite his fading fame.

The three-picture series "Dorno in Berk" was one that I commissioned from Bowen12a through DeviantART in 2017.  It is unfinished and will probably remain unfinished.

Dorno was lucky to get a part in the popular How to Train Your Dragon movies.  Cast against type as the antagonist, the shirtless pretty boy clashed with producers, lost interest, and eventually walked off the set.
These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  Hiccup was introduced as a romantic rival.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the series or in any other derivative media.

Tarzan is the English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke.  He is the hero of a series of novels, beginning in 1914, written by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, and a series of movies, beginning in 1918.  He is most memorably portrayed on film by former Olympic swimmer Johnny Weissmuller, beginning in 1932, and on television by Ron Ely, beginning in 1966.  However, my favorite depiction was in the Filmation animated television series beginning in 1976.

Korak is the son of Tarzan, the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Batgirl is best known as the crime-fighting alias of Barbara Gordon, a librarian and daughter of Police Commissioner Gordon.  After initially appearing as Betty Kane from 1961 to 1964 in the DC comic book series, she was reintroduced in 1967 in both the comic book series and the 1966 television series, with Yvonne Craig as Ms. Gordon.

In "Korak Meets Batgirl by Bowen12a",Batman and Robin evict the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan from Batgirl's hotel room without his loincloth.  In this picture, daddy manages to rescue his boy from the prowling cat burglars.

The four-picture series "Korak in the Hallway by Bowen12a" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.  Tarzan is based upon the character from the Filmation animated television series.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs characters Tarzan and Korak.  I introduced Batgirl as a potential friend and love interest.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Dorno in Halloween behind the scenes by Bowen12a

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.
I imagine that Dorno, being a youthful, semi-heroic sidekick who got into frequent trouble in the Herculoids, would be the perfect victim in teen slasher films after the cancellation of his television series, portraying a cocky, capable self confidence, until he encounters the villain.

The 9-picture series "Dorno in Halloween" was one that I commissioned from Bowen12a through DeviantART in 2017.  Four pictures are available here.  The rest can be seen in "Dorno in Halloween"
These pictures were inspired by the "Halloween" horror movie franchise.

Dorno gains a respite from the insanely strong serial killer Michael Myers when the villain impatiently pulls his knife arm away from his victim's grip in order to try again to plunge it into the boy's chest.  The attractive, athletic youth now uses both hands to stop the killer's momentum but finds that this decision leaves Myers with a free hand, which is used to grip the unfortunate boy's throat.  Faced with the choice of (a) continuing to resist the killer's knife arm with both hands and weakening under the villain's grip around his throat or (b) trying to pry the killer's fingers from around his throat with one hand and trying to maintain resistance to the villain's knife arm with one less hand, the shirtless pretty boy Dorno finds that Michael Myers' cold, hard blade has plunged into his firm young chest and that his warm, youthful blood is flowing out of his body. .
In the behind-the-scenes picture, Michael Myers is tickling Dorno.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  Despite appearaces, Michael Myers is a professional.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the series or in any other derivative media.
