Rivalry in the Monkees

Rivalry in the Monkees by bondageincomics

Davy Jones and Peter Tork are members of the musical band the Monkees.  Formed in 1966, they were the subject of a television series, created by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, about their adventures as a struggling, unknown rock band.

Davy had brown, mop-top hair, an adorable, boyish face, and a firm, young physique.  Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  The series lasted two seasons.

Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  An offbeat, blond hippie, Peter was the simple one who frequently got into trouble.  The series lasted two seasons.  I imagined that Davy and Peter would have been romantic rivals. .

The picture "Rivalry in the Monkees by bondageincomics" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.

This picture explores a whimsical rivalry between Davy Jones and Peter Tork.

Davy appeared to have more screen time and story lines and attracted the larger fan following.  However, his size makes him an unlikely alpha male.

Peter envied Davy's screen time, romantic story lines, and fan following.  However, the taller, more wiry Peter would likely prevail against the shorter, more compact Davy in a physical contest.

One day, Davy goes too far in asserting his star status, and Peter reacts by shoving the cute, short English boy, who happens to be shirtless and wearing only his red swimming trunks.  A shoving match ensues, and Peter soon takes Davy down.  Jones' continued, stubborn resistance leads Tork to tie up his bandmate.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Davy Jones in the 1966 television series "The Monkees".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.
