Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Hulk is the alter ego of physicist Dr. Bruce Banner.  Following his accidental exposure to gamma rays during the detonation of an experimental bomb, Banner is physically transformed into the Hulk when subjected to emotional stress, at or against his will, often leading to destructive rampages.  He is the hero of his own Marvel comic books series, debuting in 1962, various animated television series, beginning in 1966, a live-action television series in 1978, and various television movies, starting in 1988, and feature films, starting in 2003.  He was a founding member of the Avengers.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

The eight-picture series "Korak in Another Triangle by jen-and-kris" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2016.

The handsome, athletic son of Tarzan needs to always be prepared to guard again jealous boyfriends.  Fortunately, the mild-mannered Dr. Bruce Banner's alter ego is not so much interested in dismantling the peak human teen-aged jungle boy as he is playing with the young hero.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk are potential friends and romantic interests.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Tarzan Outside Greystoke Ranch

Tarzan Outside Greystoke Ranch by Bowen12a
Tarzan is the English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke.  He is the hero of a series of novels, beginning in 1914, written by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs, and a series of movies, beginning in 1918.  He is most memorably portrayed on film by former Olympic swimmer Johnny Weissmuller, beginning in 1932, and on television by Ron Ely, beginning in 1966.  However, my favorite depiction was in the Filmation animated television series beginning in 1976.

Korak is the son of Tarzan, the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

In "Korak Outside Greystoke Ranch by Bowen12a", below, the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan is arrested for violating Africa's stricter dress codes.  In this picture, daddy comes to bail his boy out of jail.  Apparently, some rules do not apply to the rich and famous.

The picture "Tarzan Outside Greystoke Ranch by Bowen12a" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2016.  Earlier, in 2014, I commissioned the pictures "Korak Outside Greysoke Ranch by st00pz" from the same artist.  I requested that he do one version which was based upon the American Tarzan comic pages (1968-1979) and strips (1968-1972) by Russ Manning and another version which was based upon the British Tarzan comic books (1977-1978) by Dan Spiegle.  Tarzan is based upon the character from the Filmation animated television series.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs characters Tarzan and Korak.  This is an original scene and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.
I imagine that Dorno, being a youthful, semi-heroic sidekick who got into frequent trouble in the Herculoids, would be the perfect victim in teen slasher films after the cancellation of his television series, portraying a cocky, capable self confidence, until he encounters the villain.

The 9-picture series "Dorno in Halloween" was one that I commissioned from Bowen12a through DeviantART in 2016 and 2017.  Five pictures are available here.  More will be avalable in "Dorno in Halloween 2"
These pictures were inspired by the "Halloween" horror movie franchise.

The insanely strong serial killer Michael Myers stalks shirtless pretty boy Dorno, who investigates a noise downstairs armed with a baseball bat.  The attractive, athletic teen finds that the bat did not work and that his youthful arms are straining at the attempt to prevent the villain's cold blade from plunging into his firm, young chest.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  Michael Myers plays the villain.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the series or in any other derivative media.

Due to his youth and his lack of special powers, Dorno is certainly one of the most vulnerable members of the Herculoids and is frequently a weak link which their opponents seek to target.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

Although Dorno is the son of Zandor, he has little in common with his father, aside from their pageboy haircuts and their blue, shirtless outfits.  He lacks his father's red hair, stern countenance, and powerful, muscular build.

Dorno tends to resemble his mother Tara.  Like her, the boy has blond hair, a pretty face, and a slender, athletic build.  When the time comes, Dorno may be unable to succeed in continuing the strong leadership that his father has provided.

The 2-part picture series "Dorno and Zandorna by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2016.

Zandorna is a cousin of Dorno from Zandor's side of the family.  She shares Zandor's red hair and powerful, muscular build.  Apparently, Zandorna has developed a crush on the shirtless pretty boy Dorno.  While he attempts to ignore his visiting cousin, Zandorna tries to get the attention of the cute, blond, athletic son of Zandor through physical challenges, at which she tends to prevail.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  I introduced Zandorna as a potential antagonist and love interest.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

Scott in the Gym

Scott in the Gym by 09tuf
Scott Mitchell is an original character whom I share with the artist 09tuf at DeviantART.  Young, handsome, and athletic, he grew up as the youngest son of legendary professional wrestler and crossover action star Frederick Mitchell, excelled at track and field and especially gymnastics in high school, and worked as a junior lifeguard during the summers.

Scott strives to emulate his famous father, and, with clean-cut, light brown hair, a strong, serious face, smooth, muscular chest, and a thin, toned waist, he certainly has the incredible good looks of a movie star.  However, he wants to start his career in professional wrestling, like his father, which is a daring choice, considering his size.  He is certainly the runt of the family.

Nevertheless, Scott's professional wrestling debut is a success.  The producers are certainly hoping that a handsome, new wrestler with movie-star good looks and a famous name would boost the show's ratings.  However, some vicious are eager for the chance to haze the baby-faced rookie.

I commissioned an 17-picture series from 09tuf through DeviantArt in 2016 and 2017 in two pages and six additional pictures.  One pictures are available here.

Monkee in Bed

Davy Jones is a member of the musical band the Monkees.  Formed in 1966, they were the subject of a television series, created by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, about their adventures as a struggling, unknown rock band.

Davy had brown, mop-top hair, an adorable, boyish face, and a firm, young physique.  Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  The series lasted two seasons.

The two-picture series "Monkee in Bed by bondageincomics" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2016.

I was disappointed that, although Davy had many romantic story lines which got him into trouble, a girl never tied up the cute, short English boy was never tied up shirtless in bed for her amusement.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Davy Jones in the 1966 television series "The Monkees".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Annie and Lee Leugenaar were introduced in "Korak and the Leugenaars".  They are a wealthy married couple who are neighbors of Greystoke Ranch in Africa.  Annie appears to have conflicted feelings over the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan and her husband Lee.  Our young hero also appears to be more of a lover and less of a fighter in Annie's dream.

This 5-picture series "Korak in Annie's Dream by jen-and-kris" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2016.

The alt picture was initially omitted from the series because I wanted Korak and Lee Leugenaar to have an adversarial beginning in Annie's dream.  However, the picture looked so good that I included it in this blog as an addendum.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

The two-pictures "Korak and Robin 7 by st00pz" and "Korak and Robin 8 by st00pz" were commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2016.  Finding myself attracted to more than 1 sketch again, I commissioned another picture.  This is the fifth in my series of blogs about my commissions of Korak and Robin from st00pz.  One picture was not posted, and two pictures were posted in an earlier blog

The handsome, athletic son of Tarzan and the Boy Wonder appear to be exploring their common interests.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  Robin is a potential friend and rival.  This is an original scene and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.
