Dorno and the Cowboy

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Due to his youth and his lack of special powers, he is certainly one of the most vulnerable members of the Herculoids and is frequently a weak link which their opponents seek to target.

The three-picture series "Dorno and the Cowboy by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.  Two are available here.

During a visit to a ranch, Dorno attempts to be helpful to a fellow entertainer by volunteering to serve as the cowboy's assistant.  Frankly, he enjoys the added attention.  The cowboy impresses the crowd by throwing a lasso around and quickly calf roping the youthful, semi-heroic sidekick from the Herculoids, who patiently endures a few jokes at his expense.  However, the cowboy has now convinced the crowd that a branding would be a good souvenir of the visit and that he would demonstrate the technique on shirtless pretty boy Dorno.  The crowd at the ranch agrees.

The latter picture depicts the cowboy tickling Dorno.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the series or in any other derivative media.
