Sandy and Bud Ricks are the sons of Porter Ricks, chief ranger at Coral Key Park and Marine Reserve.  They were both characters in a 1964 television seriesproduced by Ivan Tors Production, about their adventures with their bottle-nose dolphin Flipper.

In the 1964 serieswith younger brother Bud spending more time with the dolphin, Sandy's job appeared to evolve into helping his father with his ranger's job.  The series lasted three seasons.  However, I would have preferred more episodes with Sandy in trouble.

The five-picture series "Sandy to the Rescue by bondageincomics" was commissioned from the artist through DeviantART in 2018.

This picture was actually inspired by the 1976 television movie Lifeguard, when rookie lifeguard Parker Stevenson's attempt to stop a bully goes awry when the bully's friend attacks him from behind.  In the movie, Stevenson is rescued by veteran lifeguard Sam Elliiott, but I imagined various alternate scenarios.

Here, Sandy sees that his younger brother Bud is in trouble.  However, when he attempts to come to the rescue, the athletic, blond, shirtless teen finds that they are both in trouble now.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Luke Halpin's portrayal of Sandy Ricks in the 1964 television series "Flipper".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Robin and the Riddler

Robin and the Riddler by bondageincomics

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

Due to his youth, inexperience, and smaller size, the Boy Wonder is clearly the weak link in the Dynamic Duo, which their opponents often seek to exploit.  Robin is also cocky, enthusiastic, and overly eager to prove his independent crime-fighting abilities, especially to Batman.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

The picture "Robin and the Riddler by st00pz" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2018.

This picture was inspired by the 1947 film "Kiss of Death", with the Riddler taking the part of Richard Widmark as Tommy Udo, a psychopathic killer who gleefully pushed a wheelchair-bound woman down a flight of stairs.  Robin is taking the part of the wheelchair-bound woman.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Return of Zandorna

Dorno and his mother Tara are members of the Herculoids, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Due to his youth, her femininity, and their lack of special powers, Dorno and Tara are certainly the most vulnerable members of the Herculoids and are frequently weak links which their opponents seek to target.  They are often in trouble and in need of rescue.

Although Dorno is the son of Zandor, he has little in common with his father, aside from their pageboy haircuts and their blue, shirtless outfits.  He lacks his father's red hair, stern countenance, and powerful, muscular build.

Dorno tends to resemble his mother Tara.  Like her, the boy has blond hair, a pretty face, and a slender, athletic build.

This five-picture series "Return of Zandorna by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.  I dropped one of the pictures from this blog.

Zandorna is a cousin of Dorno from Zandor's side of the family.  Zandorna shares Zandor's red hair and powerful, muscular build.  She still has a crush on the shirtless pretty boy Dorno. However, Zandorna doubts that a son of Tara would be able to continue the strong leadership which his father has provided.

Zandorna's family considers Tara to be a spoiled princess and her son Dorno to be his mother's boy.

Maybe, Zandorna can help Dorno rule and provide the strength which he lacks.  The cute, blond, athletic son of Zandor would make an attractive trophy husband. Additionally, it would probably be better to rule through a peaceful continuation of Zandor's dynasty than to launch a violent coup to remove Dorno from the line of succession, which her family prefers.  Either she will need to convince the son of Zandor to marry her or she will need to kill Dorno.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  Zandorna is a potential antagonist and love interest.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

Peril of Davy Jones

Davy in Distress by bondageincomics

Davy Jones is a member of the musical band the Monkees.  Formed in 1966, they were the subject of a television series, created by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, about their adventures as a struggling, unknown rock band.

Davy had brown, mop-top hair, an adorable, boyish face, and a firm, young physique.  Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  The series lasted two seasons.

The picture "Davy in Distress by bondageincomics" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017.

This picture was inspired by the Perils of Penelope Pitstop.  In a gender role reversal, Supergirl races to prevent the cute, short, shirtless English boy Davy from meeting an oncoming train.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Davy Jones in the 1966 television series "The Monkees".  Supergirl is introduced as a potential rescuer and love interest.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Dorno takes his sports car to a mechanic, who recognizes him as the youthful, semi-heroic sidekick from the Herculoids.  They discuss the child star's recent experience at the ranch, where he narrowly escaped a branding.  The mechanic sympathizes with the shirtless pretty boy and suggests a nipple piercing instead.  The crowd at the garage agrees.

The latter picture depicts the mechanic tickling Dorno.

Lee Leugenaar (to himself):  Soon.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Lee Leugenaar was introduced in "Korak and the Leugenaars".  He is a wealthy businessman and a neighbor of Greystoke Ranch in Africa.  Leugenaar is also insanely jealous and suspects Korak of having an affair with his wife Annie.  He is eagerly anticipating the prospect of hunting and killing the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan.

This 40-picture series "Korak and the Hunt" was commissioned from four artists through DeviantART in 2017 and 2018.  Four pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Aquaman is the King of Atlantis.  Debuting in 1941 in the DC comic book series More Fun Comics, he is the hero of his own comic books series, starting in 1962, and starred in a 1967 animated television series on CBS, and a 2018 blockbluster movie.  He was a founding member of the Justice League.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Most of the Justice League is growing tired of the eager, young son of Tarzan testing his boundaries as a hero, trying to compete with the superheroes, and becoming an irritating waste of their time and energy.

Aquaman decides to accept Korak's challenge to an aquatic battle because he frankly wants to teach the jungle boy a lesson in picking his battles more carefully.  Fighting underwater, the King of Atlantis has a decided advantage over the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan in terms of oxygen supply and adjusting to increased water resistance.

The eight-picture series "Aquaman vs. Korak by st00pz" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2017 and 2018.  Although he does not want to hurt the young hero, the King of Atlantis does enjoy the prospect of holding the son of Tarzan's lithe body underwater, feeling him struggling frantically to escape until his air supply is exhausted.

Aquaman will then be leaving the jungle boy on a desert island overnight to teach him the consequences of defeat.  In the real world, against a serious opponent, such poor choices can be fatal for a young hero, and good intentions will not help.

This series is meant to be a representation of the inability of traditional heroes to complete in the superhero era in terms of popularity and commercial success.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  Aquaman is a sparring partner and potential antagonist.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Randy Scott is an original character whom I share with the artist 09tuf at DeviantART.  Young, handsome, and athletic, he is an all-around, all-American boy with classic good looks, being a star quarterback in the local touch football league, going to church on Sundays, modelling for his dad's exercise equipment company, and spending time at the gym, shaping and sculpting his muscles.

Although he skis in Colorado and drives around town in his own Honda motorcycle, he is a regular guy who works hard for what he gets.  He has stock in his dad's company.

In "Randy in a Romantic Triangle", Randy is in a room with a guy and a girl lifting weights.  Exercising shirtless, with his feathered, light brown hair, his cute, boyish face, his smooth, muscular pecs, and his firm, chiseled abs, Randy is clearly the alpha male in the room.

Unfortunately, the other man disagrees and seeks to prove his point with a display of physical dominance over the shirtless, young bodybuilder, who struggles to maintain his dignity as he is manhandled in front of the girl he wishes to impress.

The twelve-picture series "Randy in a Romantic Triangle by 09tuf" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantArt in 2017.  Four pictures are available here.

In "Randy at a Costume Party", "Randy at a Costume Party 2"; and "Randy at a Costume Party 3", Randy made quite an impression at the costume party as Tarzan, but one of the boys got offended because Tarzan is racist and leopards are a vulnerable species.
