Davy Jones is a member of the musical band the Monkees.  Formed in 1966, they were the subject of a television series, created by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, about their adventures as a struggling, unknown rock band.



Davy had brown, mop-top hair, an adorable, boyish face, and a firm, young physique.  Cute, short, and English, Davy was the show's resident teen idol and had many romantic story lines and shirtless scenes.  The series lasted two seasons.

This picture was inspired by the Perils of Penelope Pitstop.  In a gender role reversal, Supergirl races to prevent the cute, short, shirtless English boy Davy from meeting an oncoming train.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Davy Jones in the 1966 television series "The Monkees".  Supergirl is introduced as a potential rescuer and love interest.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.
