Korak and the Hunt 2

Korak and the Hunt 17 by jen-and-kris

Korak: These appear to be items which were reported stolen by pirates weeks ago.

Lee Leugenaar: I have many business associates and an eye for bargains. But you have other things to worry about.

Korak: What are you going to do with me?

Lee Leugenaar: I am taking you to my private island, where I will hunt and kill you.  Then, I will stuff and keep you as a trophy.

Lee Leugenaar:  With your strength, speed, stamina, and intelligence, you should be exciting prey.  And as the handsome son of the legendary Tarzan, and lost heir to the Greystoke fortune and title, you should be my greatest prize to date.

Korak:  I'm not lost yet.

Lee Leugenaar:  Imagine it -- your mysterious disappearance after a brief lifetime of youthful heroics, the legendary Tarzan beaten by a lifetime of searching for his lost son and heir.  It’s like Amelia Earhart’s disappearance and the Lindbergh baby’s kidnapping combined.  And, all this time, I will have a souvenir of you, the promising young golden boy – your stuffed and mounted body.  You should really be thanking me Korak.  Your adventures and your beauty will live forever.

Korak:
If you don’t mind, I plan on having more adventures after you are arrested.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Lee Leugenaar was introduced in "Korak and the Leugenaars".  He is a wealthy businessman and a neighbor of Greystoke Ranch in Africa.  Leugenaar is also insanely jealous and suspects Korak of having an affair with his wife Annie.  He intends to hunt the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan and to keep his stuffed body as a trophy.

This 40-picture series "Korak and the Hunt" was commissioned from four artists through DeviantART in 2017 and 2018.  Four pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.
