Korak and the Hunter (09tuf)

Korak and the Hunter by 09tuf

Hunter (to Korak):  Listen kid, I want to hunt on your family’s land, and here’s a butt-load of money for you.

Korak (to hunter):  Listen sir, my family’s land is a wildlife preserve, and hunting its animals is strictly prohibited, even for you.

Hunter (to Korak):  Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?  Some half-savage, animal-loving rich-kid?  Why don’t you run back home to your mama and tell her to get you some real pants!

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is both more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

A rich American hunter wants to hunt in the famed Greystoke Wildlife Preserve and offers the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan a huge sum of money for the opportunity.

This multi-part series "Korak and the Hunter" was commissioned from 09tuf through DeviantART in 2019 and 2020.  Two pictures  are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.
