Luke Halpin as Merboy by roemesquita

Merboy by roemesquita

Merboy is based upon actor Luke Halpin, who played Sandy Ricks in the 1964 television series Flipper.  I imagine that Halpin, being cute, blond, and athletic, with all-American good looks, would naturally be cast in another aquatic adventure series, like Merboy

This picture was commissioned from the artist through DeviantART in 2022.

These pictures are fan art and are intended to promote the appreciation of actor Luke Halpin.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the book series, the movie series, or any other derivative material.

Korak and the Champ 6 by FranjoGutierrez

Korak and the Champ 24 by FranjoGutierrez

Scott Hardy is an original character whom I share with the artist FranjoGutierrez at DeviantART.  Scott is an actor who played the role of Korak, son of Tarzan, in a Lara Croft movie.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

In the previous movie, the son of Tarzan served as Lara Croft's handsome sidekick.  Korak is now ready to embark on his own adventures.

In this series, the son of Tarzan is introduced to the champ and his girlfriend on a safari to take pictures in Africa.  In previous blogs, Korak rejects the amorous advances of the champion's girlfriend, but the champ reacts to being told that Korak was the aggressor.  After being beaten in a surprise attack, Korak challenges the champ to a rematch but is beaten again.

In this blog, the son of Tarzan quietly observes the champ, who is unaware of the potential danger into which he is walking.

The multi-picture series "Korak and the Champ" was commissioned from FranjoGutierrez through DeviantART in 2021 and 2022.  One picture is available here.

This picture is fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  This is an original scene and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

For this blog, I am drawing from history.  This series depicts the story of Conradin, son of a king and grandson of an emperor, who attempted to assert his family's claims in southern Italy.  The Wikipedia article on him is linked below:

This is a depiction of Conradin's fate.

The artist is the wonderful bondageincomics .

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

This blog is based upon the 1960s Batman television series and the episodes Instant Freeze (2/2/1966) & Rats Like Cheese (2/3/1966), which I reviewed in the following link:

https://korakreviews.blogspot.com/2021/05/robin-in-instant-freeze-221966-rats.html

Mr. Freeze kidnaps a baseball pitcher and offers to trade him for Batman.  Robin plants a homing device on the Caped Crusader, follows him to the villain's hideout, and is captured.

This multi-part series "Robin and Mr. Freeze" was commissioned from 09tuf through DeviantART in 2022.  Twelve scenes in two pages and one additional picture are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip or in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Bomba is a boy who grew up in the jungle, trying to discover his origin.  Introduced in 1926 through a series of 20 adventure books produced by Stratemeyer Syndicate under the pseudonym Roy Rockwood, Bomba was played by Johnny Sheffield in a series of 12 movies starting in 1949.

This version is based upon actor Luke Halpin, who played Sandy Ricks in the 1964 television series Flipper.  I imagine that Halpin, being cute, blond, and athletic, with all-American good looks, would naturally be cast in another outdoor adventure series, like Bomba

The five-picture series "Bomba and the Hunter by roemesquita" was commissioned from the artist through DeviantART in 2022.

These pictures are fan art and are intended to promote the appreciation of actor Luke Halpin.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the book series, the movie series, or any other derivative material.

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

With the cancellation of the Herculoids, I am imagining that Dorno's agent is keeping him busy with roles in various horror films.  The second one is The Ring with Samara Morgan.

The multi-part series "Dorno in the Ring by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2022.  All six pictures are included here.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.
