Sandy Ricks by roemesquita

Sandy Ricks is the son of Porter Ricks, chief ranger at Coral Key Park and Marine Reserve.  Introduced in a 1963 movie, Sandy was a character in the 1964 television series, produced by Ivan Tors Production, about their adventures with their bottle-nose dolphin Flipper.

Playing Sandy, actor Luke Halpin frequently appeared in just cut-off blue jeans and white sneakers, showing his tanned athletic swimmer's build, his trademark mop of blond hair and model-quality telegenic looks.  In the 1964 television series, Sandy's job was to appear to translate for the dolphin and to get into trouble so that the animal star could rescue him.

After the series, Luke did not appear in many roles.  I intend to commission a few pictures in order to supplement his filmography.
