Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

The 5-picture series "Dorno and the Space Trapper by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2021.  

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "Space Trapper", an animal hunter seeks to collect live animal specimens to sell to a zoo.  He is armed with a mind-control device which can force animals to do his bidding.  He uses this device to force the Herculoids to immobilize Dorno and attack Zandor.  This is a whimsical depiction of a revised episode in which the Trapper executes a different commission from a zoo.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.
