Dorno and Butch II, Part 1

Dorno and Butch II A by roemesquita

Dorno and Butch II C by roemesquita

Dorno and Butch II D by roemesquita

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Due to his youth and his lack of special powers, Dorno is certainly one of the most vulnerable members of the Herculoids and is frequently a weak link which their opponents seek to target.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

Although Dorno is the son of Zandor, he has little in common with his father, aside from their pageboy haircuts and their blue, shirtless outfits.  He lacks his father's red hair, stern countenance, and powerful, muscular build.

Dorno tends to resemble his mother Tara.  Like her, the boy has blond hair, a pretty face, and a slender, athletic build.  When the time comes, Dorno may be unable to succeed in continuing the strong leadership that his father has provided.
The 8-picture series "Dorno and Butch II by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2019 and 2020.  Four are available here.
Butch is a tough kid and an antagonist of shirtless pretty boy Dorno.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

New Hardy Boys

New Hardy Boys by FranjoGutierrez

Scott Hardy and Randy Hardy are original characters whom I share with the artist FranjoGutierrez at DeviantART.   They are both actor-models.  Scott has landed the role of Korak, son of Tarzan, and his younger brother Randy has landed the role of Robin the Boy Wonder.

After reading about method actoring, Scott and Randy will be attempting to emulate the heroics of their crime-fighting characters in real life.

The picture "New Hardy Boys" was one that I commissioned from FranjoGutierrez in 2020.

Korak and the Hunter 2

Korak and the Hunter 3 by 09tuf.

Korak (to 2 cowboys):  You should be preparing to head back home.  The lions will be on the hunt soon.
Hunter 1:  Thanks for your concern, but we’ll be OK.
Hunter 2:  Nothing’s going to harm us while Old Bessie and Old Bertha are around.

Korak and the Hunter 4 by 09tuf

Korak (to 2 cowboys):  You should be concerned.  This is a wildlife preserve, and you can’t use firearms here.
Cowboy 1:  Check out pretty boy trying to act tough in his leopard-skin underwear.  Why don’t you mind your own business pretty boy?
Cowboy 2:  Yeah!  And who’s going to stop us from using them punk?

Korak and the Hunter 5 by 09tuf

Korak (to 2 cowboys):  My father is the owner of this land, and protecting his animals is my business, but my guess is that you are not going to hunt them here.  You intend to lure then out of our preserve so that a rich hunter can shoot them legally.
Cowboy 1:  Check out the imagination on pretty boy, strutting around in his leopard-skin underwear, loving the animals, acting like he owns the place.  A pretty boy like that can get himself into a lot of trouble, especially without his rich daddy here to protect him.
Cowboy 2:  He looks like a sissy, animal-loving mama's boy to me!  His panzy muscles are only here to impress the hoes, like his mom!  I’m going to love putting bruises all over this kid's skinny body!  And then I'm going to enjoy making nature boy my bitch!

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is both more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

The handsome, athletic son of Tarzan turns down a proposition from a rich American hunter to hunt in the famed Greystoke Wildlife Preserve.  A few days later, Korak confronts a couple cowboys who built an evening fire on his family's preserve.

This multi-part series "Korak and the Hunter" was commissioned from 09tuf through DeviantART in 2019 and 2020.  Fifteen
pictures in two pages and three additional pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Robin is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

In "Korak Faces the Bats", Batman defeated Korak and took the son of Tarzan tthe Bat Cave for the weekend for some long, painful lessons on the need to come prepared for a fight.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 2", Batgirl agreed to serve as the jungle boy's teacher with respect to the consequences of defeat for a young hero.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 3", Robin agreed to watch and feed Korak in between his lessons, but finds that he has developed an attraction to the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 4", Robin objects to Batgirl's teaching methods.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 5", Robin decides to help Korak escape.  In Korak After the Bats, Korak finds himself outside the Bat Cave without his hero.

The nine-picture series "Korak After the Bats 2 by st00pz" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2019.  In this blog, the son of Tarzan finds that he is missing his rescuer the Boy Wonder.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  Robin is a potential friend and rival.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.
