Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

The 6-picture series "Dorno and the Buccaneer by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2020.  

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "The Buccaneer", Zandor stops the pirates from digging for buried treasure in a geologically sensitive location.  In retaliation, the Buccaneer takes Zandor's son Dorno hostage.  Ultimately, Dorno is rescued, and the Buccaneer is defeated by the Herculoids.  However, in this version, more focus is given to Dorno's capture, and, having escaped the Herculoids, the Buccaneer must decide what to do with his hostage.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Black Panther's real name is T'Challa, king and protector of the fictional African nation of Kakanda.  Along with possessing enhanced abilities achieved through ancient Wakandan rituals of drinking the essence of the heart-shaped herb, T'Challa also relies on his proficiency in science, rigorous physical training, hand-to-hand combat skills, and access to wealth and advanced Wakandan technology to combat his enemies.  He is the hero of various Marvel comic book series, starting in 1973, a 2010 animated television series, and a blockbuster 2018 film, and a major character in various films, television series, and comic-book series.

Korak strives to emulate his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is both more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Korak attempts to avoid authorities of the mysterious nation of Wakanda, being without a passport, visa, or other travel documents.  However, the son of Tarzan has been successfully tracked by the Black Panther.  His next choice to fight, rather than flight, turns out to be a poor decision.  As a result, he found himself a prisoner of the Black Panther in Wakanda.

Scott Hardy is an original character whom I share with the artist FranjoGutierrez at DeviantART.  Scott is an actor, and he has landed the role of Korak, son of Tarzan, in a movie from the Lara Croft movie franchise.  

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Lara Croft is the main protagonist of the video-game franchise Tomb Raider.  She is a highly intelligent, athletic, and beautiful English archaeologist who ventures into ancient tombs and hazardous ruins around the world.  She starred in big-budget blockbuster films in 2001, 2003, and 2018.  

In this movie, the Tomb Raider is the star, and the son of Tarzan is her handsome sidekick.  After demonstrating his jungle abilities by defeating a villainous mercenary in a fight, Korak falls for the charms of a mysterious vixen, who throws the young hero to a carnivorous plant.

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

Due to his youth, inexperience, and smaller size, the Boy Wonder is clearly the weak link in the Dynamic Duo, which their opponents often seek to exploit.  Robin is also cocky, enthusiastic, and overly eager to prove his independent crime-fighting abilities, especially to Batman.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

Darth Vader is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, a science fiction movie series which debuted in 1977.  Vader was the primary antagonist in the first three films and, as Anakin Skywalker, the primary protagonist in the next three films, set a long time ago in a galaxy far away.

In this whimsical fantasy, Robin goes one-on-one against a visitor from a galaxy far, far away.  With his speed, spirit, and home planet advantage, the cocky Boy Wonder feels confident that he will prevail.  Meanwhile, the Sith lord aims to teach the young earth sidekick a lesson.

The five-picture series "Up Through the Darkness" was commissioned from the artist jackcrowder through DeviantART in 2020.  

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  Darth Vader was introduced as a potential antagonist.  This is an original scene and did not appear in the television series, or any other derivative material.

Tommy is an original character whom I share with the artist JarvannIV at DeviantART.   He is a teen lifeguard who prefers to be called Tom. 

Tommy was about to end his shift as a lifeguard at the swimming pool when he was surprised by a burglar.  The burglar thought it would be amusing for a lifeguard to drown in his own swimming pool.

The 4-picture series "Dorno and the Gorgon by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2020.  

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "The Olympians", the Herculoids fight the descendants of Greek Olympian gods.  Dorno, Tundro, and Gloop are turned into stone by a descendant of Medusa the Gorgon.  Ultimately, they are rescued by Moleculad of the Teen Force.  However, in this whimsical depiction, an overconfident Dorno faces Medusa alone.

The 6-picture series "Dorno and the Purple Menace by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2020.  

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "The Purple Menace", the Herculoids fight an aggressive new form of plant life.  In an attempt to investigate the cause of this mutation, Dorno is caught in some vines.  Ultimately, he is rescued by Igoo the rock ape.  However, this is a whimsical depiction of events of the Herculoids did not arrive on time.
