Ka-Zar and the Giant Clam

Ka-Zar and the Giant Clam by JarvannIV
Ka-Zar and the Giant Clam 2 by JarvannIV
Ka-Zar is English noble Kevin Reginald, Lord Plunder, and the self-styled Lord of the Savage Land, a hidden preserve with a tropical climate in Antarctica.  Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, he first appeared in a 1965 X-Men comic book and starred in various comic books, starting in 1969.

Ka-Zar's desire for a casual swim along the reef is interrupted by a rude mollusk.

This three-picture series "Ka-Zar and the Giant Clam" was one that I commissioned from JarvannIV in 2019.  Two pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Stan Lee & Jack Kirby character Ka-ZarThese are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Korak faces Queen Charles, the transvestite who vanquished Ka-Zar in Ka-Zar vs. Queen Charles.

This twelve-part series "Korak vs. Queen Charles" was commissioned from JarvannIV through DeviantART in 2019.  Four pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Ted Marks and Daphne Blake

Ted Marks and Daphne Blake by Alexander-LR
Ted Marks and Daphne Blake 2 by Alexander-LR

Ted Marks is an original character whom I share with the artist Alexander-LR at DeviantART.   Ted is an actor who has landed the role of Dorno in a remake of the Herculoids.

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

Daphne Blake is a fictional character in the Scooby Doo franchise, starting as an animated television series in 1969 featuring four mystery-solving teenagers and their pet dog.  Daphne is fashionable but supposedly prone to getting into danger.

The 2-part picture series "Ted Marks and Daphne Blake" was one that I commissioned from Alexander-LR through DeviantART in 2019.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  I introduced Daphne Blake as a potential friend and love interest.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

Robin in the Hat Factory

Robin in the Hat Factory by bondageincomics
Robin in the Hat Factory 2 by bondageincomics

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

Due to his youth, inexperience, and smaller size, the Boy Wonder is clearly the weak link in the Dynamic Duo, which their opponents often seek to exploit.  Robin is also cocky, enthusiastic, and overly eager to prove his independent crime-fighting abilities, especially to Batman.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

The four-picture series "Robin in the Hat Factory" was commissioned from bondageincomics through DeviantART in 2019.

This picture was inspired by the episode "Batman Stands Pat", featuring the villainous Mad Hatter, who intends to avenge himself upon Batman for his testimony against him at trial.  The Mad Hatter's plan is to put Batman through the torturous agonies of his hat factory and to keep the Caped Crusader's cowl as a souvenir.

In this whimsical alternative, the Mad Hatter fails to capture Batman but manages to keep Robin as a consolation prize.  Perhaps the Boy Wonder can be used to test the efficacy of the hat factory's various devices before it is used on its intended subject.

This picture is fan art and intended to promote the appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Korak and the Hunter (09tuf)

Korak and the Hunter by 09tuf

Hunter (to Korak):  Listen kid, I want to hunt on your family’s land, and here’s a butt-load of money for you.
Korak and the Hunter 2 by 09tuf

Korak (to hunter):  Listen sir, my family’s land is a wildlife preserve, and hunting its animals is strictly prohibited, even for you.

Hunter (to Korak):  Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?  Some half-savage, animal-loving rich-kid?  Why don’t you run back home to your mama and tell her to get you some real pants!

Korak strives to emulate his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is both more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

A rich American hunter wants to hunt in the famed Greystoke Wildlife Preserve and offers the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan a huge sum of money for the opportunity.

This multi-part series "Korak and the Hunter" was commissioned from 09tuf through DeviantART in 2019 and 2020.  Two pictures  are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Batgirl is best known as the crime-fighting alias of Barbara Gordon, a librarian and daughter of Police Commissioner Gordon.  After initially appearing as Betty Kane from 1961 to 1964 in the DC comic book series, she was reintroduced in 1967 in both the comic book series and the 1966 television series, with Yvonne Craig as Ms. Gordon.

Batman is the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Also known as the Caped Crusader, he starred in his own DC comic book series since 1939, a popular 1966 television series on ABC, and various blockbuster films, starting in 1989.  He was a founding member of the Justice League.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

In "Korak Faces the Bats", Batman defeated Korak and took the son of Tarzan tthe Bat Cave for the weekend for some long, painful lessons on the need to come prepared for a fight.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 2", Batgirl agreed to serve as the jungle boy's teacher with respect to the potential consequences of defeat for a young hero.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 3", Robin agreed to watch and feed Korak in between his lessons, but he finds that he has developed an attraction to the handsome, athletic son of Tarzan.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 4", Robin objects to Batgirl's teaching methods.  In "Korak Faces the Bats 5", Robin decides to help Korak escape.

The four-picture series "Korak After the Bats by st00pz" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2019.  In this blog, Korak finds himself outside the Bat Cave without his hero Robin.  Meanwhile, Robin finds himself still in the Bat Cave learning the lesson that no good deed goes unpunished.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  Robin is a potential friend and rival.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

The four-picture series "Robin, and Zelda the Great by bondageincomics" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2019.

This picture was inspired by the episode "A Death Worse Than Fate", featuring one-time villain Zelda the Great, a fading magician.  Zelda stole $100,000 from Gotham City National Bank in order to pay for a new escape act.  After a newspaper story is published stating that the money was counterfeit, she kidnaps Aunt Harriet in order to ransom her back to the Wayne Family.  Robin appears on television with Bruce Wayne to announce that the newspaper story was fake and that the money is real.  Zelda agrees to release Aunt Harriet.

In this whimsical alternative, Zelda is angered by the deception and demands that Robin deliver notarized confirmation that the money is real.  Using Aunt Harriet as bait, the magician lures the cute, cocky, colorful, crime-fighting sidekick into a trap.  Robin is then bound and gagged and used as bait to lure Batman into the same trap.  Hopefully, the Caped Crusader will be more successful in escaping the trap than the Boy Wonder was.
