Merboy in Shark Attack 2 by roemesquita

Merboy in Shark Attack 4 by roemesquita

Merboy is based upon actor Luke Halpin, who played Sandy Ricks in the 1964 television series Flipper.  I imagine that Halpin, being cute, blond, and athletic, with all-American good looks, would naturally be cast in another aquatic adventure series, like Merboy

In this series, Merboy tries to escape from becoming a meal.

This four-picture series was commissioned from the artist through DeviantART in 2023 and 2024.  A bonus picture is available here.

These pictures are fan art and are intended to promote the appreciation of actor Luke Halpin.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the book series, the movie series, or any other derivative material.

A 2022 sequel to the 2009 original, "Avatar: the Way of Water" featured Jack Champion as Miles "Spider" Socorro, a Tarzan-like character who was raised by scientists who stayed back on Pandora and wears Na'vi attire and plays with Jake and Neytiri's children.

This picture depicts Spider's interrogation by his human captors.

The picture "Bondage in Pandora" was commissioned from the artist bondageincomics through DeviantART in 2024.

This picture is fan art and is intended to promote the appreciation of Jack Champion's portrayal of Spider in the 2022 movie "Avatar: the Way of Water".  This is an original scene and did not appear in the movie or any other derivative material..

Korak Rescues Bomba 2 by roemesquita

Korak Rescues Bomba 6 by roemesquita

Korak Rescues Bomba 7 by roemesquita

Korak Rescues Bomba 8 by roemesquita

Bomba is a boy who grew up in the jungle, trying to discover his origin.  Introduced in 1926 through a series of 20 adventure books produced by Stratemeyer Syndicate under the pseudonym Roy Rockwood, Bomba was played by Johnny Sheffield in a series of 12 movies starting in 1949.

This version is based upon actor Luke Halpin, who played Sandy Ricks in the 1964 television series Flipper.  I imagine that Halpin, being cute, blond, and athletic, with all-American good looks, would naturally be cast in another outdoor adventure series, like Bomba

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is both more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

In this series, Korak rescues Bomba, who has been caged by a hunter.  Bomba shows his appreciation.

The multi-picture series "Korak Rescues Bomba by roemesquita" was commissioned from the artist through DeviantART in 2023 and 2024.  Three pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and are intended to promote the appreciation of actor Luke Halpin and the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in the book series, the movie series, or any other derivative material.

Randy Hardy is an original character whom I share with the artist FranjoGutierrez at DeviantART.  Randy is a model whose brother Scott is an actor who played the role of Korak, son of Tarzan, in a Lara Croft movie.

John Rambo is a Vietnam War veteran whose experiences traumatized him but left him with superior military skills.  He is the hero of a movie franchise starting with the 1982 movie First Blood.

The son of Tarzan, the famed, wealthy, and powerful jungle lord, Korak is rich, pretty, and athletic, frequently appearing in only a loincloth.  A strong and tough veteran, Rambo is distasteful of unnecessary displays of skin, useless displays of muscles, and aristocratic privilege.

The multi-picture series "Korak Meets Rambo" was commissioned from FranjoGutierrez through DeviantART in 2023 and 2024.  Four pictures and an alternate are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Robin Meets Hannibal Lecter by Ming-GID

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

Due to his youth, inexperience, and smaller size, the Boy Wonder is clearly the weak link in the Dynamic Duo, which their opponents often seek to exploit.  Robin is also cocky, enthusiastic, and overly eager to prove his independent crime-fighting abilities, especially to Batman.  He is often in trouble and in need of rescue.

In this series, Robin the Boy Wonder meets Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

The series "Robin Meets Dr. Hannibal Lecter by Ming-GID" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2023 and 2024.  Seven pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip or in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

With the cancellation of the Herculoids, I am imagining that Dorno's agent is keeping him busy with roles in various horror films.  This one is It with Pennywise the Clown.

The multi-part series "Dorno in It by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2023 and 2024.  Six pictures of this series are included here.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.
