Korak and the Jealous Boyfriend 6 by FranjoGutierrez

Korak and the Jealous Boyfriend 23 by FranjoGutierrez

Scott Hardy is an original character whom I share with the artist FranjoGutierrez at DeviantART.  Scott is an actor who played the role of Korak, son of Tarzan, in a Lara Croft movie.  His brother Randy is a model.

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Scott is unsuccessful in his attempt to save his younger brother Randy, who is tied to a bed by somebody who did not appreciate his attempt to impress his girlfriend.  Now Scott must be punished for his failed heroics.

The multi-picture series "Korak and the Jealous Boyfriend" was commissioned from FranjoGutierrez through DeviantART in 2020, 2021, and 2022.  One picture is available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Robin the Boy Wonder is the eager, youthful sidekick of Batman, the Caped Crusader, the vigilante crime-fighting alias of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.  Introduced in 1940 as orphaned acrobat Dick Grayson in the DC comic book series Batman, Robin was played by Burt Ward in the 1966 television series on ABC.

This blog is based upon the 1960s Batman television series and the episodes Hi Diddle Riddle (1/12/1966) & Smack in the Middle (1/13/1966), which I reviewed in the following link:

Robin the Boy Wonder rushes to Batman's rescue, not realizing that he was Riddler's true target.

This multi-part series "Robin and the Riddler" was commissioned from 09tuf through DeviantART in 2022.  Six scenes in one page and one additional picture are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of Burt Ward's portrayal of Robin in the 1966 television series "Batman".  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip or in the movie, the television series, or any other derivative material.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Phantom is the alter ego of Kit Walker, the last in a dynasty of costumed crimefighters in the fictional African country of Bangalla.  Starring in a long-running comic strip, he has starred in a 1943 movie serial, a 1990s animated television series, a 1996 film, and a brief 2009 television series.

Like Korak, the Phantom has no superpowers and is based in Africa.

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

The multi-part series "Dorno and the Mindbender by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2021 and 2022.  Three pictures and two alternates are included here.

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "Mindbender", Dorno releases an ancient being from a sleep chamber and returns his amulet.  However, the ancient being is called a Mindbender, was purposely imprisoned in the sleep chamber, and derives telekinetic powers from the amulet.  The Mindbender shows his appreciation by creating a hole and dropping Dorno in it.  Rescued by Gloop and Gleep, the son of Zandor attempts to steal the amulet from the Mindbender.  However, the boy is caught and about to be destroyed.  Fortunately, Zandor distracts Mindbender long enough for Dorno to escape.  This is a whimsical depiction of a different encounter, playing off the Mindbender's stated appreciation of Tara's "spirit".

With Dorno now helpless and at his mercy, Mindbender checks to see if his mother Tara has changed her attitude towards him first before he finishes the Herculoid boy.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

In the previous movie, the son of Tarzan served as Lara Croft's handsome sidekick.  Korak is now ready to embark on his own adventures.

In this series, the son of Tarzan is introduced to the champ and his girlfriend on a safari to take pictures in Africa.  In previous blogs, Korak rejects the amorous advances of the champion's girlfriend, but the champ reacts to being told that Korak was the aggressor.  After being beaten in a surprise attack, Korak challenges the champ to a rematch.
