Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

The multi-part series "Dorno and the Mindbender by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2021 and 2022.  Three pictures and two alternates are included here.

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "Mindbender", Dorno releases an ancient being from a sleep chamber and returns his amulet.  However, the ancient being is called a Mindbender, was purposely imprisoned in the sleep chamber, and derives telekinetic powers from the amulet.  The Mindbender shows his appreciation by creating a hole and dropping Dorno in it.  Rescued by Gloop and Gleep, the son of Zandor attempts to steal the amulet from the Mindbender.  However, the boy is caught and about to be destroyed.  Fortunately, Zandor distracts Mindbender long enough for Dorno to escape.  This is a whimsical depiction of a different encounter, playing off the Mindbender's stated appreciation of Tara's "spirit".

After dealing with Tara the angry mother, the Mindbender returns his attention to her son Dorno.

Originally, I was planning for the Mindbender drag Dorno to the lake and repeatedly dunk him.  However, after changing my mind to have the Mindbender choke Dorno with tree vines instead, the first Dorno and the Mindbender 16 alt picture was inconsistent with the new plot direction.

The second Dorno and the Mindbender 16 alt picture showed Dorno standing, rather than sitting, by the tree.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

Korak and the Tor-o-don Chief

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Korak strives to emulate his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is both more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

Apparently, while Korak was still in Pal-ul-don, a revolutionary named Auric Head captured Tarzan and Jane and wanted to put them on trial for crimes against the people.  However, Head was defeated and apparently managed to escape to Pal-ul-don.  He was able to gain control of the Tor-o-don tribe to which Korak was sold as a slave. This series follows up on a story on the following 1969-1970 Daily Tarzan pages, which I reviewed:

https://korakreviews.blogspot.com/2021/05/korak-in-daily-tarzan-12291969-131970.html

Personally, I believe that Auric Head would have noticed Korak, either would have guessed or been suspicious that he was the son of Tarzan, and would attempt to visit upon the young hero the "sins" of his father.

The series "Korak and the Tor-o-don Chief" was commissioned from the artist TheRaytrix through DeviantART in 2021 and 2022.  Three pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Hulk is the alter ego of physicist Dr. Bruce Banner.  Following his accidental exposure to gamma rays during the detonation of an experimental bomb, Banner is physically transformed into the Hulk when subjected to emotional stress, at or against his will, often leading to destructive rampages.  He is the hero of his own Marvel comic books series, debuting in 1962, various animated television series, beginning in 1966, a live-action television series in 1978, and various television movies, starting in 1988, and feature films, starting in 2003.  He was a founding member of the Avengers.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

The Incredible Hulk continues to find enjoyment in playing with the rich and handsome son of Lord Greystoke.

The multi-part series "Korak and the Hulk B by st00pz" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2021.  Three are available here.  Korak is a peak human teen-aged jungle hero, but he finds that he is helpless against a larger, stronger opponent with superpowers.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  I introduced the Incredible Hulk as a potential antagonist.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

Scott and Randy Hardy are original characters whom I share with the artist FranjoGutierrez at DeviantART.  Scott is an actor who played the role of Korak, son of Tarzan, in a Lara Croft movie.  His brother Randy is a model.

Randy is tied to a bed by somebody who did not appreciate his attempt to impress his girlfriend.  Older brother Scott swings to the rescue.

The multi-picture series "Korak and the Jealous Boyfriend" was commissioned from FranjoGutierrez through DeviantART in 2020, 2021, and 2022.  Four pictures are available here.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.
