Korak and the Hulk B

Korak and the Hulk B3 by st00pz

Korak is the Honorable Jack Clayton, son of English Lord John Clayton, Viscount Greystoke, also known as Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  He is the hero of a 1915/6 magazine serial and 1917 novel by American writer Edgar Rice Burroughs and a 1920 silent movie serial, as well as a character in several other Tarzan stories from 1914 to 1924.  He experienced a revival in 1964 as the star of his own comic book series and as a major character in various Tarzan comic books, pages, and strips from 1966 to 1978.

Hulk is the alter ego of physicist Dr. Bruce Banner.  Following his accidental exposure to gamma rays during the detonation of an experimental bomb, Banner is physically transformed into the Hulk when subjected to emotional stress, at or against his will, often leading to destructive rampages.  He is the hero of his own Marvel comic books series, debuting in 1962, various animated television series, beginning in 1966, a live-action television series in 1978, and various television movies, starting in 1988, and feature films, starting in 2003.  He was a founding member of the Avengers.

Korak strives to emulate the heroics of his legendary father but lacks his strength, maturity and experience.  Therefore, he is more likely to enter into dangerous situations and more vulnerable to being defeated.

In the previous series, the Incredible Hulk finds enjoyment in playing with the rich and handsome son of Lord Greystoke.

In this series, the green monster continues to play with his new toy.

The multi-part series "Korak and the Hulk B by st00pz" was commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2021.  Three are available here.  Korak is a peak human teen-aged jungle hero, but he finds that he is helpless against a larger, stronger opponent with superpowers.

These pictures are fan art and intended to raise interest in and appreciation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs character Korak.  I introduced the Incredible Hulk as a potential antagonist.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any comic book, page, or strip.

In January, I received a gift from the wonderful 09tuf, featuring Korak, son of Tarzan, lord of the jungle.  In it, Korak was at the mercy of a champion of a hostile tribe.

I was so impressed that I commissioned a series of back scenes.

Dorno and the Mindbender 4

Dorno is the son of Zandor, leader of the Herculoids, and his wife Tara, a family of three humans and their five very powerful pet creatures defending their jungle planet.  The Herculoids were the subjects of an American animated television series, which debuted in 1967 and was revived in 1981 on CBS and produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.

The multi-part series "Dorno and the Mindbender by roemesquita" was one that I commissioned from an artist through DeviantART in 2021.  Three pictures are included here.

It was inspired by an episode from the second season in 1981.  In "Mindbender", Dorno releases an ancient being from a sleep chamber and returns his amulet.  However, the ancient being is called a Mindbender, was purposely imprisoned in the sleep chamber, and derives telekinetic powers from the amulet.  The Mindbender shows his appreciation by creating a hole and dropping Dorno in it.  Rescued by Gloop and Gleep, the son of Zandor attempts to steal the amulet from the Mindbender.  However, the boy is caught and about to be destroyed.  Fortunately, Zandor distracts Mindbender long enough for Dorno to escape.  This is a whimsical depiction of a different encounter, playing off the Mindbender's stated appreciation of Tara's "spirit".

Dorno rushes to his mother's defense, but, after seeing the Mindbender go a couple rounds with her son, Tara gets concerned.

These pictures are fan art and primarily intended to raise interest in the Herculoids and Dorno.  These are original scenes and did not appear in any movies, television series or any other derivative media.

Lara Croft is the main protagonist of the video-game franchise Tomb Raider.  She is a highly intelligent, athletic, and beautiful English archaeologist who ventures into ancient tombs and hazardous ruins around the world.  She starred in big-budget blockbuster films in 2001, 2003, and 2018.

In the previous movie, the son of Tarzan served as Lara Croft's handsome sidekick.  Korak is now ready to embark on his own adventures.

In this series, the son of Tarzan is introduced to the champ and his girlfriend on a safari to take pictures in Africa.  In previous blogs, Korak rejects the amorous advances of the champion's girlfriend, but the champ reacts to being told that Korak was the aggressor.  Fortunately, in this blog,
Lara was in the neighborhood and thought that she would visit.

Korak helps his friend Ab overthrow Ta-lur's leadership and cult of human sacrifices.  However, when the son of Tarzan grows suspicious of Ab's girlfriend Pan-at-za, our young hero finds himself sold to the Tor-o-dons as a slave.  This series is based upon a astory on the following 1969-1970 Daily Tarzan pages, which I reviewed:

https://korakreviews.blogspot.com/2021/05/korak-in-daily-tarzan-12291969-131970.html

Personally, I would have preferred a more detailed depiction of the process of binding and tying of the beautiful son of Tarzan to the pole. I would like this series to correct that.
